A New Year And A Smarter Way To Train

A New Year And A Smarter Way To Train

For those who were around for the beginning days of Bears Den, you may remember that Training Programs were the first products available. I didn't have a dime to my name when NFQ was stolen from me so purchasing inventory was not an option. I used the knowledge from training with Human Performance coaches in Special Tactics with my real-world application and made It available for dissemination to many. It's been awhile since I've created a new program but It wasn't without reason, I have now fine tuned a regimen that has worked exceptionally well for me.

After lifting consistently for nearly two decades, you start to recognize a pattern, not just in your body, but in your mindset. Training can become repetitive. Programs blur together. Progress slows, and workouts start to feel more like something you check off than something you look forward to.

The structure of the Hyperbuilding Training Program brought something back that I hadn't felt in some time.

Each workout is intentional. Strength-focused work sets the tone, while hypertrophy-driven volume follows in a way that leaves you walking out of the gym with a real pump... not just fatigue, but feedback. In the days that follow, there’s no guessing whether the stimulus was enough. The soreness, recovery curve, and performance in the next session all make It clear that adaptation is being forced, not hoped for.

The first Hyperbuilding program served as an introduction to this style of training. It laid the foundation and reintroduced balance between heavy lifting and volume work. Volume II refined it. The workouts are arranged in a way that feels complete; no overlap, no gaps, no wasted effort. Each week flows naturally into the next, and nothing feels like it’s competing for recovery.

That structure is what keeps training interesting. You’re not chasing novelty for the sake of It, but you’re never bored. You know what you’re doing when you walk into the gym, and you know why you’re doing It.

At the start of a new year, a lot of people come to the gym with good intentions. The problem usually isn’t motivation, it’s sustainability. Training shouldn’t feel like another obligation you eventually abandon. It should be something that supports your longevity, strength, and confidence over time.

Hyperbuilding isn’t about shortcuts or extremes. It’s about training in a way that respects where you are, challenges you appropriately, and keeps you invested and it's the same whether you’re new to lifting or you’ve been at It for years.

Consistency is easier when the work feels purposeful. That’s what this structure provides, and why it’s become a staple in how I train. If there’s one thing years of training have taught me, it’s that progress comes from structure you can commit to, not motivation you have to chase.

Whether you’re refining your approach after years in the gym or starting fresh with longevity in mind, the right framework can make all the difference. Hyperbuilding was built to provide that framework; something sustainable, engaging, and effective enough to keep you showing up long after the initial motivation fades.

'Hyperbuilding Training Program: Volume 2' is now available in the Training section of the website.
